The factors that affect the selection of Nielsen centrifugal concentrator, fully automatic centrifugal concentrator, and high-efficiency centrifugal concentrator include equipment structure parameters and process parameters.

1、 Equipment structural parameters.

1. The slope of the drum directly affects the flow rate of the slurry in Nielsen centrifugal concentrator, fully automatic centrifugal concentrator, and high-efficiency centrifugal concentrator, thereby affecting the concentrate yield. Large slope, low concentrate yield, high concentrate grade, and low concentrate recovery rate. If the slope is too large, the slurry flow rate is too fast, and the concentrate is difficult to deposit on the drum wall, it cannot play a sorting role. On the contrary, if the slope is too small, although the concentrate yield and recovery rate are high, the concentrate grade is low, and the processing capacity will decrease due to the small flow rate. Therefore, the slope should be appropriate.

2. The diameter and length of the drum mainly affect the processing capacity. If the diameter is large, choose a large area with high processing capacity. When processing tin ore slurry, the processing capacity of the 800mm diameter centrifugal concentrator can reach about 30 tons per day.

3. The length of the drum mainly affects the recovery rate. The length of the drum, the settling time of the ore particles, and the recovery rate are high, and vice versa.

2、 The process parameters include feed particle size, feed volume, feed concentration, feed time, and drum speed.

① Production practice has proven that when the upper limit of the feeding particle size of Nielsen centrifugal concentrator, fully automatic centrifugal concentrator, and high-efficiency centrifugal concentrator is greater than 74 microns, it is difficult to wash the concentrate and affect the beneficiation indicators. The effective particle size recovery range of a general centrifugal concentrator is 37-10 microns. Of course, based on the properties of the ore and the requirements for beneficiation products, the appropriate feeding particle size is determined through experiments.

② The feed volume of Nielsen centrifugal concentrator | fully automatic centrifugal concentrator | high-efficiency centrifugal concentrator affects the condition of the flow film on the drum wall. If the feed volume is too large, the flow rate is fast, the sorting effect is low, and even the sorting effect is not effective.

③ The feed concentration has a significant impact on the production capacity and selection indicators of Nielsen centrifugal concentrator, fully automatic centrifugal concentrator, and high-efficiency centrifugal concentrator. Figure 3-27 shows the relationship between feed concentration and selected indicators.

④ In the continuous ore feeding process, the tailings grade increases with the increase of ore feeding time, until the instantaneous increase of tailings grade approaches the ore feeding grade and only plays a transportation role. Therefore, the feeding time should be appropriate. Long feeding time and low recovery rate; If it is too short, the concentrate grade is low, the equipment has less effective utilization time, and the processing capacity is low. When processing tin ore slurry, the feeding time should be 3 minutes.

⑤ Increasing the drum speed can increase centrifugal force, accelerate particle sedimentation, improve recovery rate, but reduce concentrate grade. The appropriate speed should be determined based on the properties of the ore and reasonably matched with the feeding volume.

It should be pointed out that the impact of the above factors is generally the case. For selecting ores with different properties, appropriate selection conditions should be determined through experiments.
